CSUFC’s dream run at the Challenge Cup in Dubbo came to an end on Sunday as they were bundled out 1-0 at the hands of South Dubbo Wanderers in the semi-finals.

It was a fairly even first half but Wanderers managed to nab a goal and hit the front.

The second half saw a better showing from the Stags but they were unable to find an equaliser.

Ollie Briggs’ second half sending off for a second yellow card offence didn’t help the Stags cause.

The boys put in a huge effort but were unfortunately unable to find the net and were on the wrong end of a 1-0 score line when the final whistle blew.

The other semi-final saw Dubbo Bulls down Macquarie. Due to a large number of injury concerns, Macquarie were forced to forfeit the third vs fourth play-off tie – which saw CSUFC clinch third place at the tournament.

Congratulations to all the boys who represented the club in Dubbo – you did the Stags and Vixens proud!
