Recap
Another quality performance early on day two of the Challenge Cup in Dubbo has seen CSUFC complete the group stage of the tournament undefeated and atop their group.
The Stags started slowly against the Orana Spurs, before really hitting their straps in the second half.
Ollie Briggs opened the scoring, latching onto a Semon Rakiwskyj corner early in the piece.
It didn’t take long for Spurs to equalise however, capitalising on some lazy CSU defence with a well crafted counter attack.
It remained 1-1 at the break, but Spurs wouldn’t remain in the contest for long thereafter.
Second half goals to Ollie Briggs, Alec Geelan and Talan Myers saw the Stags put the Spurs to the sword and remain undefeated heading into the knockout phases of the tournament.
CSUFC will now face South Dubbo Wanderers in a do or die semi-final.
