Some people dream of finding the net nine times in a season, First Grade White’s Ollie Briggs found it nine times in a WEEKEND!
Briggs’ side registered two resounding victories over the weekend to roar back to form over the weekend. A 7-0 away win over Mudgee on Saturday, which saw the striker grab four goals of his own was bested by a Sunday 9-0 romp over Macquarie United – in which the gangly frontman scored five!
Ben Green, Jimmy Shaw and John Henry were all involved in multiple goals in the massive weekend as White steadied following a shaky patch of form.
White will now turn their attention to a derby clash next weekend with First Grade Red.
Red managed a victory of their own on Sunday as goals from Pierrick Jacquety and Jake Rosengarten, as who also provided the assists for each other’s efforts, saw them 2-0 victory over a depleted Mudgee outfit.
Second Grade Men went down 2-1 at the hands of Mudgee, while our third graders kicked their feet up and enjoyed their bye!
First Grade Ladies suffered from the absence of captain Riley Smith and club president Meaghan Kempson as they were beaten 2-1 by Milthorpe. Paula Mitchell nabbed the Vixens’ lone goal as they went down away from home.
Our Second Grade Vixens fought hard for a 0-0 draw against Bathurst 75, while elsewhere Third Grade White grabbed a 1-0 victory over City Red Tops with a goal to coach Evie Chalwell the difference between the two sides.
Fourth Grade Men take on Churches United on Monday night to close out the round’s action. Kickoff is at 7pm on Police Paddock. Get down and support them!
