Mid-season stats update

The arrival of CSUFC’s mid-season uni-holiday-induced break means that we have reached roughly the halfway point of season 2017. Already a number of fresh players to the club have shown their mettle and this is reflected in the numbers.

For the first time ever, CSUFC is keeping up to date statistics on goals, assists and yellow cards and all of this information is available online.

Our leaderboards largely reflect the continued dominance of both First Grade Men and First Grade Ladies following title winning 2016 campaigns.

No player has been involved in more goals for the club than President Meaghan Kempson. The dynamic midfielder has been in fine form once again this season, netting eight times and turning provider on five other occasions. Kempson’s impressive 13 score involvements places her firmly in the lead in this category however a number of players are hot on her heels.

2016 Mens Player of the Year Jimmy Shaw has carried over his fine form, already putting his name on the scoresheet eight times while playing the final pass for three other net-bulging efforts in 2017. His 11 score involvements is equalled by first year player Jack Rindo.

Rindo is registered in Third Grade for his opening season with CSUFC, however this hasn’t stopped him playing for Second Grade, Fourth Grade Men and Fourth Grade Mixed – scoring eight goals and assisting three others in the process.

Another first year player leads the outright goalscorers list. First Grade Ladies striker Laura Millen leads the pack with nine strikes to the halfway point of the season. While her teammate Chloe Hinde is the player to beat in terms of assists – having already racked up a whopping seven!

Will Millen and Hinde lead their respective categories at the end of the season? Who can catch them?
