What. A. Weekend.
CSUFC’s female contingent have flexed their muscles over the weekend, banging in a ludicrous number of goals and racking up some outrageous scorelines in the process.
There were stars everywhere as not one, not two but THREE hat-tricks were seen across just 2nd and 3rd Grade Ladies on Sunday!
3rd Grade Ladies Red became the second CSUFC team to put up a ridiculous 9-0 scoreline in the space of two days as they smashed Scots at Proctor Park on Sunday morning. Despite having just nine players on the park, the Vixens were unstoppable – and none more so than central midfielder Julia Elks.
Elks put in the most statistical remarkable performance of the season thus far across the club on Sunday – smashing in three goals of her own as well as providing two assists. Her teammates were just as rampant, however, with Laura Fergus banging in a hat-trick of her own and by her own admission, she could have had many more.
Emily Heseldell also got in on the act, scoring a brace – while Tianna Douglas-Collison rounded out an extensive scorers list.
Later in the afternoon, Proctor witnessed another drubbing – this time dealt out by an in-form 2nd Grade Ladies side led by striker Naomi Keith.
Keith slotted a hat-trick of her own as her side registered a domineering 7-1 victory over Panda FC. She too wasn’t alone in finding the back of the net – with strike partner Katie Matthews banging in a double while Holly Williams and Kellie Leak grabbed one apiece.
Earlier, 3rd Grade White drew 1-1 with All Saints – Georgia Youngberry scoring the lone goal in that clash. While, First Grade Ladies rounded out the weekend in typical fashion, running out 2-0 winners in a fiery clash with Eglinton.
