First Grade Vixens dominate early statistics

We may be just over a month into the competition, but CSUFC have already begun to show their class across a number of grades.

Club President Meaghan Kempson has started the season in cracking form, knocking five goals into the back of the net in just four matches, as well as adding three assists to her tally already. No other CSUFC player has been involved in more goals thus far this season than Kempson’s eight.

Despite the President’s impressive strike rate, teammate Laura Millen leads both the team and the club for goals this season with six strikes in four games for CSUFC’s premier ladies outfit. It is Millen’s first season for the club and she’s already taking steps to emulate a certain other blonde Vixen striker who left the club at the end of last season!

Meanwhile, in the men’s competitions, the race for leading goalscorer continues to heat up, with four players sitting level with four goals apiece.

Impressively, Darius Benzy, Jack Rindo and Tom Murray have each slotted four despite plying their trades in the same team, the 3rd Grade Mens side coached by rookie coach Harry Dorrough! While the ever reliable John Henry remains in good nick for the 1st Grade White Men’s, sitting equal atop the list despite being deployed in a midfield role.

She may only have one goal next to her name, but 1st grader Chloe Hinde has already managed four goal-assists, the most by any CSUFC player so far this year, in just two appearances for the club! Hinde is setting a serious pace already early in the piece – can anyone catch her?!

Not a single player has been red carded so far this season while there have been a dozen yellows awarded in just a matter of weeks across the grades. There have been a number of penalties go against CSUFC as well already, with 4th Grade Mixed player Kirrily Lazarus the latest to give away a spot kick.

CSUFC will look to build on their stats this coming weekend, with the club’s next match coming in the form of a looked forward to clash between our 2nd Grade Men and the Lithgow City Rangers this Saturday at at Proctor Park.
