Teams:Charles Sturt University Men’s Red vs Charles Sturt University Mixed White
Kick off: 8:00pm Thursday, March 30
Venue: Proctor Park 1
For the first time in CSUFC history, the club will showcase a local fourth grade derby between the Men’s and Mixed team’s in what promises to be an exciting encounter at Proctor Park.
Both sides will be looking for a memorable performance on Thursday evening as the Men’s side looks to continue their early season success following their 3-1 win over the Lithgow City Rangers in Lithgow under a week ago. The side displayed great team football and will now return to Proctor Park hoping to continue their winning form.
The Mixed side will be looking to bounce back and get their season on track after Monday’s 5-0 loss to Churches United. The team showed passages of great football but there is still a lot of work to be done.
Elliot Brown is in doubt for the match with a foot injury. Despite the first-round loss, the team is still confident they can defeat the Men’s side and showcase how strong a force they can be in this league.
Both sides boast first year coaches in, Nick Gammage and Maddie Hickey, who will be eager to show any doubters how well they can whip their players into shape early in the season.
The key to this match will be the Mixed team’s ability to improve on last week’s passing and positioning to match that of the Men’s side. If they can do this, the result could go either way.
GET DOWN TO PROCTOR PARK TO SUPPORT THE TWO SIDES AT 8PM ON THURSDAY, 30 MARCH!
